I liked this but will go for a thicker version next time. Dorie definitely inspired me to play around with more soups as this was truly easy and hard for me to rationalize not having time to knock out. Apologize for the late comment- I had too much fun running around seeing the Barefoot Contessa and cooking and ended up with a miserable cold (but it was worth it). tricia s.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06247980519576579740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4815369823036697.post-74256410450907043582013-02-24T09:48:11.396-08:002013-02-24T09:48:11.396-08:00I've actually tried pea soup with a ham hock a...I've actually tried pea soup with a ham hock and this one worked out better for me. Taste-wise anyway. Yours looks much better than mine. Not sure what was wrong with me that night, I even bought creme fraiche and bacon and then completely forgot to use it. I was a little surprised at the lack of herbage too - it just seemed to be lacking flavor. I'm glad I made it, and it made for a nice meal, but it's not going to be a repeat with us. Love that emerald green color on yours!Sarahttp://luckyredrabbit.comnoreply@blogger.com
